Welcome Baby Kanyon!

Kanyon Dean Philbrick

Born May 31, 2013 at 5:21 am 6lbs 8oz 18.5 inch long!

Clint was pretty excited Kanyon was born in May because Clint's birthday is at the beginning of May and all through my pregnancy kept telling the baby to come in May. When he did in fact come in May (the very last day I might add) He said, "You already listen to your daddy, god boy!" Haha. We are so blessed to have this sweet little boy in our lives. He is such a good baby! For the most part he sleeps very well at night, doesn't cry too much unless of course he is hungry or getting his diaper changed, and he is such a cuddle bug (which Clint says he gets from his mommy and that is so true I love to cuddle).

Labor went fairly well I suppose. After going to our doctors appointment wednesday afternoon to have a non-stress test and amniotic fluid levels test the doctors found I had low fluid and wanted to induce me right away. Clint and I joke that's the way to go because we went home calmly packed all our stuff for the hospital, casually went out and got some dinner and then went to the hospital shortly after when we were ready. I of course begged for an epidural right away, because I am a huge wimp. I hated how that made me feel. I think the way that felt was the worst part of the labor. I don't like the "drugged" felling! However, that was still better than feeling those painful contractions. After 11 long hours and only a half hour of pushing (thank goodness), our little miracle entered the world.

 We love you Kanyon! You have made our lives even better than we could have ever imagined. Sure, we are a little more tired than normal but you are worth those late night feedings and snuggles. We are so glad to have you in our lives and share our adventures with you. We can't wait to teach you how to enjoy life to it's fullest and daddy can't wait to teach you how to ride a bike hehe.
