California Adventure with the Twins!

This past week we had the wonderful opportunity to take my little brother and sister (Branson and Bailey) to California for a little adventure. Our first stop...Disneyland!
Its been ten years since my family last took a little trip toDisneyland. I was about 11 and the twins were only 3 years old. Its been awhile for me and the kids barely remember it so it was a blast to spend the weekend experiencing this fun with them. The first ride we took was...
Yep the one and only Space Mountain. I believe it was one of the top favorites of the whole park. We rode it twice in a row. Thank goodness for fast passes because there is no way any of us wanted to wait hours in line for any ride. I can't believe some people actually wait that long in line with kids for that long when fast passes are available to everyone.
still had to wait in line for some rides but thank goodness not for too long. The longest we waited was probably a half hour. Here, Branson and Clint were trying to catch up to me and Bailey in line for the Pirates ride
Me and Bailey patiently waiting....
Branson couldn't resist trying to see if he could pull the sword out if the stone...After trying his hardest we found out that he wasn't going to be King :( Oh well we will leave that job to Arthur.
Another favorite was Splash Mountain, of course. It's a short ride but the thrill of that one huge downward thrush off the mountain into the water is enough for some to wait almost two hours for
Here's the attempt at taking a picture while beginning our splash mountain escapade.

I may be 21 but my favorite part of disneyland was Toon Town.
I think Toon Town is so creative and fun. Bailey said she didn't like it because she felt as though she was trapped in a cartoon. That's exactly why I liked it. Even the mountains in the background are toon-like. Love it!
At the Gym. Work it guys!
Toon Town's most wanted...who knew :)
Play that funky music Bailey!
Branson in Goofy's watermelon?!? That IS goofy, for sure.

After Toon Town we watched one of the Parades. It was fun, crowded, but fun.
These were just some dancers but I loved their costumes
Of course Disneyland wouldn't be without Mickey and Minnie.

After 10 hours of fun. We were all worn out. Feet were hurting, eyes were sleepy, and we left with a Bang. Literally. We left as the fireworks were going off to catch our shuttle back to the hotel. Although we didn't stop and enjoy them we still enjoyed them some as we left.
Funny story...As we were leaving the park Bailey said she had to go to the bathroom really bad but we couldn't find a restroom outside of the gates so we asked her to hold it. We waited for about 10 minutes for our shuttle and finally it came. Half an hour later we were back at the hotel. Branson, being the brother he is ran to beat Bailey to the bathroom first. Well, he did beat her. So Bailey laid on the bed to patiently wait for Branson to use the restroom and she was so exhausted that even though she had to pee really bad she feel dead asleep and didn't wake up until morning. When she woke up Clint asked her, "Didn't you have to go to the bathroom last night". Bailey abruptly said, "Oh yeah, hopped right up out of bed and ran to the restroom. We had a good giggle.

The next day we spent at the Beach!
It was so much fun!
We built sandcastles..
Played in the water..
Collected seashells...And..
...Made Branson a beautiful Mermaid hahaha! So funny! Can't you see the smile on his face? Love it!
This trip was a lot of fun! Lot's of driving but so worth it. Can't wait for our next adventure!
