Here are just a few pictures to catch everyone up on what we have been doing. I lost my ipod (the device in which I take all my pictures with etc.) So I don't have as much as I would like BUT we do have some.
We put up our christmas tree (a fake one the in-laws had) and it was fun/stressful doing it with Kanyon. He LOVED it but so much so that it began to get a little crazy. "Balls" were everywhere with him trying to help. Needless to say all our ornaments are up on the top half of the tree this year but we got the job done. These are a couple pictures I took our my boys cuddling after the tree was all set up.
Everyday Kanyon surprises me with how smart he is and the things he comes up with. Kanyon created his own little play space in our living room. He pushed the little ottoman(sp?) up to the side table and uses that as his little table and chair. Smart right? He came up with that all on his own and he sits there playing with his toys (mostly cars) on a daily basis. Cars are a BIG DEAL in our house. And lately they have been parked a little more orderly than usual.
Oh and in the last couple of weeks we have a little monkey in our hands. Climbing all over everything. Our living room is his jungle gym. And he even climbed out of his crib once last week :/ hasn't done is since SO we're hoping that was a one time thing for awhile because we are not ready for him to be "free" to roam at night time (all you parents prob know what I'm talking about).
Since Winter has come and our little explorer can't venture out into the outdoors as much as he would like we have been getting creativeISH on what to do to get his wiggles out indoors. This weekend we discovered Toys R Us is a great place for that. He ran around that store for nearly and hour (and probably would have continued even longer but mom and dad were getting a little claustrophobic with all the people christmas shopping in there) pushing anything with wheels and playing with the toys on display.
And then...we took him to Chuck E Cheese Saturday night! He loved it so much he couldn't even sit enjoy pizza! He just wanted to get down and play (understandable). The games with the "balls" were and obvious favorite. We had a good time and here are some pics...
At the end of the night we had collected 202 tickets which back in the day would surely get us
something decent well come to find out the souvenir picture we got for one token was WAY better/more cool then the prize we were able to get for 202 whole (not half) tickets. We got a fun dip and a stupid caterpillar thing Kanyon didn't even end up liking. Oh well..here is our souvenir pictureb. Yes, shocker we got Kanyon to actually look at the right time...imagine that!
Well that's it for now. We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!
