The Day and Life of a Philbrick

I just realized my last blog post was eleven months ago! Yeah, talk about slacker. We've had a lot happen in the past 11 months. So here are the events of our lives in the past ten months in a nutshell...

*January we got pregnant with baby #2...and on valentines day sadly we had a miscarriage. It was a terrible blow and an extremely emotional time. However, we still felt we needed to keep trying.

*End of March we found out we were pregnant again. It was exciting yet scary at the same time because I was so nervous we would lose it again and have to go through another heart break. As time went on this little one stuck around :) Its just not the same being pregnant after experiencing a miscarriage AND every woman that goes through something like that understands what I mean by that. It's hard to be excited and stay excited about a new little life when in the back of your mind you're worried the worst may happen again.

*Anyway....April Clint graduated from BYU in manufacturing Engineering and got offered a full time job where he was interning at a place called Novatek. He's been doing really well there and everyone is very impressed with him. I'm so proud :) although I didn't expect nothing less from someone that works so hard and always puts 150% in everything he does. He also enjoys working there. He loves the people he works with and that he can choose his own schedule. He currently wakes up at 5:30 and gets home at 3:30 so he can spend more time with us and have time for him to play (bike, climb etc.)

*June we moved down to Springville UT just 15 minutes south of Orem where we were living. We now have a beautiful townhome double the size of our last place just a few minutes down the street from Clint's work. It has a pool and a park just steps from our backyard, which was a HUGE hit with Kanyon and still is.

*August we found out baby #2 is a Boy! Yep, another boy! I'm quickly becoming out numbered...but I wouldn't have it any other way. Our boys will be such good friends. Clint REALLY wanted a girl so I think initially he was a little disappointed (although he won't admit it) but he's excited to have another little mini Clintie to teach his ways to :P

We only have 8 weeks left as of now until baby boy #2 is due to arrive. We are excited and I'm so ready to get this baby out. I'm not one that enjoys pregnancy at all, so I'll be excited to get feeling normal again and feeling less like a plump zombie with a constant back ache.

And now enough of the chatter and on to the pictures....that's all that really matters right?
